I love late spring in Franklin, North Carolina. The days are warm, the nights are cool, all the trees are full and green, and there are so many things to do around town with family and friends!
This past Saturday evening, we walked up to Main Street with some family and friends who were visiting from out of town. It’s just a short stroll there from Sanctuary Village, and with this perfect weather, it is such a special time.
We had an early dinner on the outdoor patio at Gracious Plates, and let me tell you, we were not disappointed! With locally grown and sourced food, you can’t go wrong. I had the Brasstown ribeye steak and some homemade New York-style cheesecake.
After dinner, we walked down Main Street and enjoyed some good music at Pickin’ on the Square. Then we topped off the evening with some cold beers at the Lazy Hiker Brewery.
I love having the chance to share Franklin’s easy way of life with family and friends (both new and old).
