The Motor Company Grill and Crabtree General Store is hosting the 10th Annual Ruby Drop on new Year’s Eve in Franklin, NC. The celebration will take place on the Square in downtown Franklin. For those who are unfamiliar with this local tradition, it’s an evening of festivities that culminates in the famed Ruby Drop. It’s our twist on the traditional Ball Drop in Times Square in New York. Instead, we drop a large ruby as a salute to the historic gem mining operations in the region.
Anyone who attended the Winter Wonderland festivities in downtown Franklin this year can tell you this little town knows how to celebrate the holidays!
