Each year, numerous events take place in downtown Franklin, North Carolina. On Saturday, September 9 from 4-8 p.m., the very first Phillips Street Market will coincide with the bi-weekly Pickin’ On The Square concert at the Gazebo across from the Courthouse. This new Market on Phillips Street will feature homemade goods, handcrafted treasures, homegrown foods, and various antique and vintage items for sale.
Phillips Street crosses Main Street in Downtown Franklin and forms the “square” (or intersection) that marks the middle of the historic downtown area and is home to the concert Gazebo. So you’ll be able to browse the market without missing a single moment of live music. After you’ve worked up an appetite shopping and tapping your feet to the tunes, you can grab a bite to eat or a great local brew at one of the featured restaurants and pubs on Main Street! Locals always have great things to say about Gracious Plates On Main, Motor Company Grill, and The Lazy Hiker Brewery, so put them on your “must try” list!
